-Tell us a little bit about yourself: I was born in Tokyo, Japan in the car enroute to the hospital. I spent most of my childhood in foreign
countries due to my Dad’s job. We lived in Japan, Canada, and Belgium and I
loved every minute of it. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a
degree in Dietetics. Here are some things I love in no particular order—black
and white movies, classical literature, critical analysis of classical
literature, vegetable gardens, pretending to practice the piano, The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, crusty bread with honey butter, fall weather
and fall fashion, people, and my wonderful family. Nate and I have two girls, Ada, who will be
three shortly, and Lydia, who is ten months old.
*If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
Right now it’s a toss up between England and Boston. I love
American History and would like to actually see the places where much of it
took place. Most of my ancestors lived
in England and I love so many British-based stores so I would love to see my ancestor’s
homes and do some great shopping in the UK.
*What is your favorite tv show?
*What is your favorite tv show?
This will reveal how truly old-fashioned I am. Nate and I both
love the Donna Reed Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Both originated in the late fifties/sixties
and I adore them.
*Best birthday memory?
When I turned 18 several of my friends surprised me by lining a
tunnel that I walked through every day on our college campus with hundreds of
pieces of paper—each with something kind that someone had written about me on
it. I was stunned by their forethought
and felt very loved. I would recommend doing something like this for anyone you
appreciate in your own life.
